What We Are

Your guide to AI in Swiss healthcare

SwissMed AI is Switzerland's first independent platform dedicated to AI in healthcare — built for clinicians, researchers, and healthcare teams navigating this space in Switzerland. We translate what's happening in medical AI into clear, practical information grounded in the Swiss clinical context.

AI is moving fast. New tools, new studies, new regulations — keeping up with all of it alongside clinical or research work isn't realistic. SwissMed AI does that work for you, so you don't have to start from scratch every time something new arrives.

Who It's For

Made for Swiss healthcare, not Silicon Valley

There's no shortage of medical AI content — but most of it is shaped by international markets and investment cycles, with little relevance to Swiss regulations, Swiss institutions, or the day-to-day of clinical work here. SwissMed AI is written for the people working in that reality.

🩺

Clinicians

Physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals who want to understand and use AI tools in practice — without the jargon.

🔬

Researchers & Students

Medical and health science students, residents, and researchers looking to stay current on where AI is headed in their field.

🏥

Healthcare Organisations

Hospitals, health systems, and innovators navigating AI adoption — who need independent, clinically grounded perspectives.

Laila Fröhlich, Physician

I studied medicine at Technical University of Dresden and completed parts of my clinical training across Germany and Switzerland before settling into a residency in internal medicine here. What drew me to medical AI was a pattern I kept noticing: how much of clinical work — at every level of training — gets consumed by tasks peripheral to actual medicine. A structural observation — and a widely shared one.

AI holds genuine potential to change that — not just in administration, but across the full arc of clinical medicine, from diagnosis to therapy. SwissMed AI grew out of that conviction, and has grown into Switzerland's leading independent platform for medical AI in clinical practice: mapping real-world deployments across the country, curating the tools clinicians are actually using, and translating the research that shapes what comes next.
